Laboratory Tests and Follow-up Examination

Analyses of glucosinolate and erucic acid contents are carried out with gas chromatographs in the quality laboratory. In addition, samples of breeding material are analysed with regard to the respective oil, protein and glucosinolate contents by means of NIRS (near-infrared spectroscopy).
All seed lots resulting from breeding and seed production are analysed in NPZ’s own seed laboratory. These analyses are performed according to internationally recognised ISTA-regulations.
Furthermore, all lots of oilseed rape are checked in-house in post-control in the field with regard to purity, homogeneity and fertility. Based on our own multi-site trials on production technology, our crop consultants are able to provide exact advice as regards site requirements as well as fertilisation and crop protection recommendations for our varieties

Analyses for germination ability
All seed lots resulting from breeding and multiplication are analysed in NPZ’s own seed laboratory. We make analyses for purity, germination ability, thousand seed weight and moisture. These analyses are performed according to internationally recognised ISTA-regulations.
